Attock Cement orders second IKN Pendulum cooler

The management of Attock Cement Pakistan Ltd and IKN GmbH agreed a deal for the supply of another latest generation IKN Pendulum Cooler. The cooler with a capacity of 4000tpd will be supplied for Attock's new Line 3. This agreement follows shortly after the order for a new IKN static inlet (KIDS) for Line 1. Both orders show the confidence and trust that Attock Cement has put in IKN based on the experience with the IKN Pendulum Cooler in kiln Line 2 which has been in operation since 2006.

Attock Cement Pakistan Ltd has awarded a contract to Hefei Cement Research and Design Institute (China) for a new 4000tpd plant in Hub, Balochistan, the cement producer said. Pakistan: Attock Cement plans 3300tpd plant

Attock Cement Ltd has planned an estimated capital outlay of US$120m to install a new plant with a clinker production capacity of 3300tpd, securities analyst Sajjad Hussain at BMA Capital said. Currently the company has a cash and short-term investment reserves of PKR3.8bn. Two leading Pakistan cement manufacturers have reported a rise in first quarter FY13 profit. Maple Leaf Cement Factory Limited posted PKR384.409m profit in the quarter ended September 30, 2012 as compared to after tax loss of PKR228.279m in the same period last year. Attock Cement full year profit rises, Pakistan

Attock Cement Pakistan reported profit after tax to PKR1.44bn for the year ended 30 June 2012 compared to PKR684m in the previous year, thanks to higher prices. Net sales rose to PKR10.63bn in FY12 against PKR8.55bn in FY11 while cost of sales rose to PKR7.691bn against PKR6.8bn a year earlier. Pretax profit for  FY12 rose to PKR2.03bn compared to PKR1.03bn a year earlier.

Attock Cement Pakistan Ltd (APCL) has reported a YoY rise in first-half net profit of 116 per cent due to a rise in prices and an exemption in taxes.
