UltraTech commissions Tadipatri production line

UltraTech is commissioning an additional 3.35Mta clinker along with 1.8Mta grinding capacity at its existing unit situated at Tadipatri, Andhra Pradesh, India. The capacity addition forms part of the 22.6Mta capacity expansion announced in June 2022. Furthermore, with debottlenecking, the company has increased the capacity of its grinding unit at Jharsuguda , Odisha, by 0.4Mta taking it to 4.5Mta. As a result, UltraTech’s total cement capacity has reached 154.86Mta.

India’s Dalmia Bharat Cement plans to reach 110-130Mta of cement production capacity by 2031. The company has also announced an interim target of 75Mta by 2027. Lebap plant increases production in 4M24

In the January-April 2024 period, the Lebap cement plant in Koytendag, Turkmenistan, produced 295,200t of product with a total value of TMT59m (US$16.9m), up from last year, according to Trend. Of this total, approximately 17,800t was exported. Owned by Turkmen Cement , the Lebap plant has a total clinker capacity of 6000tpd, following the commissioning of a second 3000tpd line  in 2023. The plant is located in eastern Turkmenistan, near the border with Afghanistan.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is providing a EUR25m loan to Turkey’s  Çimsa  to finance the cement company’s decarbonisation investment programme. India-based Shree Cement Ltd has reached 1GW of renewable energy capacity following the commissioning of the company’s 19.5MW solar power plant at factory in Andhra Pradesh.
