Belarusian Cement Plant reports 7% production increase07 July 2021, Published under Cement NewsBelarusian Cement Plant has reported a 7.3 per cent YoY rise in production to 710,000t of cement in the first five months of 2021. The volume of production in actual prices rose 14.2 per cent to BYN115.9m (US$45.39m) during the period. The company reported BYN7m in sales profit in January-May 2021, with half of this amount made in May alone. |
Christian Pfeiffer wins Slovenian ball mill project25 June 2021, Published under Cement NewsChristian Pfeiffer has won the contract to build an efficient ball mill circuit for limestone milling for a Slovenian client. The centrepiece of the plant will be a 3.2m (diameter) air stream ball mill with drying compartment and a high performance DSL separator. The commissioning of the plant is scheduled for the end of 2021. |

Steppe Cement records 14% rise in profit07 June 2021, Published under Cement NewsKazakhstan’s Steppe Cement has posted a net profit of US$11.1m for 2020, up 14.4 per cent YoY from US$9.7m in the previous year. EBITDA also saw a modest increase to US$24.2m from US$23.9m in 2019. However, the company’s cement sales volume decreased 4.1 per cent YoY to 1.65Mt from 1.72Mt. Local sales declined by six per cent, due to milling limitations during two months of the high season, while exports advanced 20 per cent. "In general, manufacturers' prices are kept at KZT20-22,000 (US$46.69), the growth is about five per cent. Lamanka Enterprises acquires Akhangarancement stake28 May 2021, Published under Cement NewsCyprus-based Lamanka Enterprises Ltd has reportedly bought 84.197 per cent of the shares in Akhangarancement JSC in Uzbekistan. The stake was acquired for UZS557.6bn (US$52.7m) according to Uzbekistan Daily. In March 2021, Eurocement Holding AG announced its plan to sell a block of shares in Akhangarancement. The price was set at UZS103,593.05 but the block of shares was sold at a rpice of UZS134,671.68. |
