Ireland’s independent Ecocem, announced today that the use of its GGBS product will lead to a reduction in CO2 emissions well in excess of 150,000t during 2005. The Texas Industries Inc cement plant was cited 32 times in less than 18 months by the Mojave Desert Air Quality Management District.The violations occurred between April 2003 and July and resulted in a $75,000 fine and a promise from TXI to build a new cement construction of a new cement plant.
