HeidelbergCement has applied for a new, long-term mining permit for the Vohenbronnen quarry.  The current authorisation expires in 2020, the company announced. HeidelbergCement's turnover increased by 6.7 per cent last year to EUR13,465m and the EBITDA improved by a 14.2 per cent to EUR2612.7m and the trading profit advanced by 15.7 per cent to EUR1846.1m. German cement demand reaches 26.6Mt in 2015

German cement consumption reached approximately 26.6Mt in 2015, some 2.2 per cent less than the previous year, according to German Cement Works Association (VDZ). KHD chief executive officer resigns

The Supervisory Board of KHD Humboldt Wedag International AG (KHD) today informed the KHD Management Board about the resignation of Johan Cnossen as CEO and member of the Management Board with immediate effect. Mr Cnossen has decided to step down for personal reasons. His responsibilities will be taken over for an interim period by the other Management Board members, KHD said in a statement.

HeidelbergCement will invest EUR100-150m in its Schelklingen works, Germany, according to Hans Georg Kraut, director of the works.
