Huaxin acquires stake in Cambodian plant18 June 2014, Published under Cement NewsChina's Huaxin Cement Co Ltd has bought a 40 per cent stake in Cement Chakrey Ting Factory Co Ltd of Cambodia. The US$24m investment was announced on 17 June, according to a recent company announcement. After the investment, the Cambodia cement producer's registered capital grew to US$60m from US$32m. The Hubei province-based cement manufacturer says the acquisition in Cambodia is the company's second overseas investment after establishing a subsidiary in Tajikistan in 2011. |

Huaxin Cement sees net profit down 48.32% in 201226 March 2013, Published under Cement NewsHuaxin Cement Co Ltd, part of the Holcim Group, said net profit last year fell 48.32 per cent to CNY556m (US$91m). It attributed the reduction to severe price competition and its profit contribution to Holcim declined.
