Dalmia Cement Bharat is set to commission its greenfield cement works in Belgaum, Karnataka, in five months, taking total group capacity to over 20Mta. Ambuja Cements is set to resume mining operations in Himachal Pradesh after the High Court granted a stay on the Ministry of Environment and Forest’s (MoEF) suspension order which was issued at the beginning of February 2014. Pakistan’s export volumes fell 7.5 per cent YoY in the first seven months of the current Pakistan fiscal, while revenues were also down 13 per cent over the same period.
