Demand for aggregates, asphalt and ready-mixed concrete has declined for the second quarter in a row in the 3Q22, according to the UK-based Mineral Products Association (MPA). The Mineral Products Association (MPA) has expressed disappointment that UK cement and lime producers have been excluded from the government’s compensation scheme for climate change costs. Sales volumes of aggregates and ready-mixed concrete were four per cent higher and asphalt 10 per cent higher in the second quarter of 2015 than in the same quarter of 2014, latest data from the MPA shows.
