Kohat Cement Co Ltd (KOHC) has informed Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) that the Board of Directors of the company has approved the setting up of 10MW solar power plant at its Kohat cement plant, in northern Punjab, says CEO, Nadeem Atta Sheikh. Pakistan dispatches decline in FY22 by 8%

The All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA) released 12 months of local and overseas dispatch data on 4 July. During the FY21-22 (July 2021-June 2022) total cement dispatches were 52.89Mt, 7.9 per cent lower than 57.43Mt dispatched during the last fiscal year. DG Khan Cement Co Ltd (DGKC) has informed Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on 21 June that its has signed an agreement and established a Letter of credit with Reon Energy Ltd for the supply and installation of the on-grid solar power plant of 6.952MW at its site in Khairpur, District Chakwal, Punjab. Cement exports from Pakistan show a mixed trend

Pakistan's cement exports continued to report mixed trends in the export of cement and clinker cumulative basis for 11 months and in May alone of FY22, according to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics. Pakistan-based DG Khan Cement Co will be exporting 50,000t of cement to the USA for the first time. “A ship, Tomini Felicity, is presently loading cement at KPT in 1.5t jumbo bags destined for Houston, Texas USA,” Fareed Fazal, DG Khan director, said.
