SCG reported its operating results for the 1Q23, showing a recovery across all business units, with increased sales and profits boosted by the revival of tourism and China’s border reopening. SCG’s total assets as of 31 March 2023, amounted to THB923,725m (US$27,414m), of which 44 per cent represented assets in ASEAN (excluding Thailand). Siam Cement plant catches on fire

PT Siam Cement Group ( SCG) factory on Jalan Palabuhan II, Sukabumi Regency, Thailand, has caught fire. The cause of the fire is not yet known. A number of vehicles and firefighters entered the factory area to extinguish the fire. There were no casualties in the incident. The President Director of PT Semen Jawa and PT Tambang Semen Sukabumi, Somchai Dumrongsil, confirmed the fire outbreak.

SCG Vietnam reports 20% revenue increase in 1H18

Siam Cement Group (SCG) Vietnam has announced a 20 per cent surge in revenue to VND14.53trn (US$631.74m) in the first half of the year. The 2Q18 saw the company record a 28 per cent YoY rise in revenue to VND8.46trn, on the back of a large contribution from the packaging business, according to Viet Nam News.
