Cementa gets go-ahead for Gotland quarry

A Swedish court has given Cementa the green light to continue mining limestone at its quarry on the island of Gotland, heading off the risk of a shortage of cement in the building industry, reports Reuters. Cementa's time-limited extraction permit stands

The Supreme Administrative Court (HFD) has decided that the time-limited extraction permit, which the government announced to Cementa  ( Heidelberg Materials ) in the fall of 2021, must stand. Apeco slag conveyor system is installed at Swedish cement plant

Apeco has successfully completed a slag conveyor system project at the Cementa cement plant in Slite, Gotland, Sweden. The supplied conveyors were installed on a hill with limited bearing points, and are capable of transporting sand or slag at a rate of 600tph. Within the framework of the project, Apeco delivered two belt conveyors with different transshipment chutes and flap-valves to the client.
