South Korea’s cement industry is likely to increase cement prices by 14 per cent from July, citing the impact of sharply rising electricity prices and currency exchange rate as the main drivers. Vietnam cement sales down 14% in April 2023

Cement sales in Vietnam saw a 14 per cent YoY decline to 5,621,586t in April 2023, according to the Vietnam National Cement Association (VNCA). Of this total, VICEM sales fell by 14 per cent to 1,834,092t while other VNCA members reported a 28 per cent drop in aggregate sales to 1,077,494t. Cementir ’s revenue totalled EUR414.8m in the 1Q23, up 14.5 per cent from the 1Q22. EBITDA reached EUR81.2m, a 33.8 per cent YoY advance while profit before taxes totalled EUR63.9m, a rise of 50.7 per cent when compared with the 1Q22. Vietnamese cement sales fall 19% YoY

Cement sales in Vietnam reached 6,161,029t in March 2023, down 19 per cent YoY but up 51 per cent MoM, according to the Vietnam National Cement Association (VNCA). Of this total, 2,013,276t were sold by VICEM . This represents a drop of 18 per cent YoY but a 72 per cent increase MoM. CEMEX Philippines achieved a 50 per cent reduction in CO 2 emissions generated by its two cement subsidiaries, Solid Cement Corp and APO Cement Corp , from 1990-2022.
