Algeria’s cement export revenues have increased more than 251 per cent YoY in the first nine months of 2019, rising to over US$51m from US$14.54m, according to the Customs’ Directorate of Studies and Prospective (DEPD). China Tianrui Group Cement enters into new clinker supply agreement

China Tianrui Group Cement has entered into a new clinker supply framework agreement with Ruiping Shilong, which will remain active until 31 December 2021. While an existing clinker supply agreement for the same term has been active since 1 April 2019, the company has stated that the actual transaction amount may exceed the proposed annual cap. Therefore, the new agreement will supersede the previous arrangement.

Pakistan's exports to India fall 41% in FY19

Pakistan’s cement exports to India fell 41 per cent to 0.716Mt in the FY19 ended 30 June, with no exports to the country taking place between March-September. The decline is the result of a 200 per cent duty set by the Indian government, according to The Daily Times. Furthermore, revenue from overall exports declined 13.2 per cent YoY to US$42.15m in the first two months of the current fiscal year.
