Slovenian court revokes Trbovlje environmental permit03 September 2014, Published under Cement NewsThe administrative court in Ljubljana has revoked the environmental permit issued to LafargeCement, SeeNews reported citing Slovenian press. The permit was issued to Lafarge in January by the Environment Agency for its site in Trbovlje, state-run news agency STA said. The Trbovlje works of Lafarge Cement, 55.9 per cent owned by Lafarge Perlmooser, is located in central Slovenia, and has a production capacity of 0.45Mta of clinker and 0.6Mta of cement. |
Trbovlje council expresses support for Lafarge, Slovenia29 March 2012, Published under Cement NewsThe Trbovlje city council has expressed its support for Lafarge’s Slovenia unit as the cement producer is reorganising and reducing staff after it was stripped of its environmental permit for waste burning in November 2011. Lafarge Cement spokesman, Andrej Sopotnik, told the Slovenska Tiskovna Agencija that the company has so far reduced the number of workers through from 180 to 120.
