Fire at Clitheroe works, UK25 January 2012, Published under Cement NewsFirefighters attended a blaze which broke out on Friday evening at Hanson’s Ribblesdale cement works in Clitheroe, UK. Local press reported that the ire, which involved a conveyor belt was attended to just after 9pm at the cement works, formerly known as Castle Cement. However, output was 1.6 per cent lower than in November 2010 when the industry was severely affected by bad weather.
