UltraTech Cement sees 80% rise in net profit

India's UltraTech Cement (Aditya Birla Group) has posted a 79.8 per cent YoY increase in consolidated net profit to INR7.12bn (US$99.67m) for the 3QFY19-20, while EBITDA rose 25.4 per cent to INR21.41bn. UltraTech Cement reduces cement price in Jammu and Kashmir

India’s UltraTech Cement has reduced the price of cement in Jammu and Kashmir following the abolition of a toll tax in Lakhanpur, according to the region’s Department of Information and Public Relations. As a result, the price is reportedly decreasing to INR380/bag (US$5.29) from INR445/bag. The goods toll, previously being enforced under the Jammu and Kashmir Levy of Tolls Act 1995, has ceased to operate with effect from 1 January 2020.

UltraTech awards grinding equipment order to Gebr Pfeiffer

UltraTech Cement, India’s largest cement producer, has placed the order for a MVR 6000 C-6 mill with Gebr Pfeiffer. India’s UltraTech Cement has begun receiving dry waste at its unit in Jaggayyapet, Andhra Pradesh, sent from Vijayawada Municipal Corp’s (VMC) recycling facility in Ajit Singh Nagar. UltraTech completed the acquisition of Century's cement business, with the Scheme of Demerger  effective from 1 October 2019.
