Hungary's Talentis acquires Lukavac

Hungary-based Talentis International Construction Investments kft has acquired Lukavac Cement dd for an undisclosed amount. Established in 1974, the Bosnian cement producer was previously owned by Asamer Baustoffe AG of Austria. It operates a 0.9Mta cement plant in Lukavac , near Tusla, northern Bosnia. Talentis is owned by Hungarian businessman and former politician Lorenz Meszaros.

UltraTech's sales rise 6% YoY in 3QFY23-24

UltraTech 's consolidated sales rose by six per cent per cent to 27.32Mt YoY in the third quarter ended 31 December 2023. The UK is to introduce a new import carbon pricing mechanism by 2027 to support its decarbonisation drive.
