Sika has recorded sales of CHF9.24bn in 2021 (EUR8.95bn), an YoY uptick of 17.1 per cent in local currencies and 17.3 per cent in CHF. Ciments Calcia (HeidlebergCement group) has completed the first phase of its kiln modernisation project at the company's plant in Bussac-Forêt, Nouvelle Aquitane, France. Carboneras Cement creates CO2 capture joint venture

LafargeHolcim Spain (Holcim group) will capture CO 2 emissions at its Carboneras plant. Together with Carbon Clean and Sistemas de Calor, the company has created the ECO02 joint venture which since the end of 2020 has been assessing the scheme’s technical viability and benefits.

Titan Cement International SA has announced the progress of its share buyback programme. The company and its subsidiary, Titan Cement Co SA, purchased 42,514 shares of Titan Cement International on Euronext Brussels and the Athens Stock Exchange in the period between 13 December until 20 December 2021. The value of the shares amounts to EUR575,484. Following the transactions, Titan Cement International owns 1,447,192 shares which represent 1.85 per cent of the voting rights.
