Cement consumption in France fell 7.5 per cent to an estimated 17.891Mt in 2020 with demand in 2021 forecast at 19.039Mt, up 6.5 per cent YoY, according to CIC Market Solutions. Heracles Group of Companies ’ (LafargeHolcim group) turnover in Greece remained almost unchanged in 2020 compared to 2019   when  the company first returned to profitability after 10 years . It reached EUR188.5m in 2020 compared to EUR188.8m in 2019. The cement market in Spain has expanded by 116 per cent YoY to 1.239Mt in April 2021 while demand in the first four months of 2021 increased 24.5 per cent YoY to 4.617Mt, according to the country’s cement association, Oficemen.
