Cementir records consolidated cement and clinker sales of 10.7Mt in 2020

Cementir Holding's consolidated results for 2020 saw cement and clinker sales volumes total 10.7Mt, up by 12.9 per cent compared to 2019. This increase was mainly due to the upturn in sales in Turkey where cement volumes rose by 39 per cent over the year. Cemex to end fossil fuel use at Rugby plant

Cemex is investing US$25m in a new fuel system at Rugby Cement plant in the UK as part of its ‘Future in Action’ programme to achieve carbon neutrality. The new system uses green hydrogen and will have the capability to operate at 100 per cent with alternative fuels. The system will be fully operational in June 2021.
