Holcim Croatia will invest HRK9.6m (US$1.5m) in a project to develop low-carbon cement production. Around 35 per cent of this amount will be a HRK3.3m grant from Innovation Norway. Eagle Cement Corp to consolidate raw material supply chain

The board of Philippines-based Eagle Cement Corp has approved the 100 per cent purchase of affiliate limestone quarrying firm, Solid North Mineral Corp (SNMC), in a PHP3.57bn (US$69.95m) deal. SNMC is currently majority-owned by Ramon S Ang, chairman of Eagle Cement. The move is expected to consolidate its raw material supply chain.

Dewan Cement sees 7% rise in turnover

Pakistan's Dewan Cement has announced a 7.3 per cent YoY rise in net turnover to PKR6.3bn (US$37m) for the year ended 30 June 2021, compared with PKR5.83bn in the year-ago period. The company also recorded a PKR666.4m loss for the FY20-21, which had contracted against the PKR1.32bn loss seen in the previous fiscal year.
