The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) has accepted the Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) from the Lafarge Cement plant in Ravena as complete. The National Tariff Commission (NTC) will hold a public hearing on 26 July to deliberate upon exempting customs duty on the import of rubber/tyre scrap. The Supreme Court today allowed French cement giant Lafarge to mine limestone in the forests of the East Khasi hills in Meghalaya.

On 5 July, Titan put into operation a €4.8m (US$6.9m) refuse-derived fuel (RDF) installation at its Bulgarian plant in Zlatna Panega.
