Cement sales in Vietnam advance 5% in October

Sales of cement in Vietnam have increased five per cent in October to 5,239,069t, according to the Vietnam National Cement Association (VNCA). VICEM sales edged up two per cent YoY to 1,739,204t in October 2021 while its affiliates saw sales slip by one per cent to 1,149,865t. Pakistan registers fall in exports during 4MFY21-22

Pakistan’s Federal Bureau of Statistics (FBS) reported a 38 per cent fall in exports in terms of dollar value and a 44.2 per cent decrease in export volumes in the 4MFY21-22 when compared with the year-ago period. The cement industry earned US$65.45m of export revenue by dispatching 1.804Mt of cement and clinker overseas, compared with US$105.54m from 3.233Mt of exports in the 4MFY21-22. Domestic cement deliveries in Peru edged up two per cent to 1.264Mt in October 2021 when compared with October 2020, according to Peruvian cement association, Asocem. Fancesa signs agreement to export to Paraguay

Bolivia-based Fábrica Nacional de Cemento SA (Fancesa) and a Paraguayan construction company reached an agreement to export cement to the South American country. Iranian cement market contracts 12% in October

Iran’s cement demand declined 11.7 per cent MoM to 5.05Mt in October 2021. In addition, producers exported 0.65Mt of clinker and 0.29Mt of cement, according to the Iranian cement association. In term of output, 7.02Mt of clinker and 5.46Mt of cement were produced in October 2021. When compared with September 2021, clinker production increased 2.8 per cent while cement output was down 9.2 per cent.

Spanish cement demand has expanded by 10.1 per cent to 1,302,750t in October 2021, according to data from Oficemen. While year-to-date sales of cement in Brazil continue to be high in the period until October 2021, October’s stand-alone result has been seen as the worst of the year, according to the country’s cement association, SNIC.
