Hoffman Green Cement launches construction second plant

Hoffmann Green Cement Technologies (HGCT) has started work on the construction of its second cement plant, which represents an investment of EUR22m. Located in Bournezeau in the Vendée region of France, the facility will have the capacity to produce 0.25Mta of low-carbon cement. Commissioning is scheduled for the second half of 2022, according to Ll’Usine Nouvelle.

Argos launches ECO Multiproposito in Honduras

Colombian cement producer Argos has launched its ECO Multiproposito cement in Honduras. The product is a general-purpose cement that thanks to sustainable production processes lowers CO 2 emissions by 40 per cent. Energy for the production process at the company’s Comayagua plant is sourced from a solar power array that it inaugurated at the start of 2020.
