Cimpor, the Iberian region's leading producer of cement, has called upon FLSmidth to deliver a chlorine bypass solution for its site in Souselas, Portugal. Sinoma-CBMI is progressing with the modernisation of the Ciments du Sahel plant in Kirene, Senegal. The third clinker line (SC3) project has recently seen the installation of two cement mills lifted into place. The size of each ball mill is 5.2m x19.25m and they weigh in at 208t. IKN wins cooler order from Jaykaycem Central

IKN has received an order from Jaykaycem Central Ltd for a new cooler project at Panna, Madhya Pradesh, India. The new 8000tpd clinker cooler will be a two-stage cooler, equipped with an intermediate roll crusher. It is particularly designed to recirculate vent air to boost the waste heat recovery system (WHRS).   One of the new features is a variable cooler inlet slope between 10-15° to adjust to the prevailing clinker conditions, says IKN.

Gebr Pfeiffer is again delivering an MVR vertical mill to Burkina Faso. India-based Larsen and Toubro (L&T) Construction has announced several significant contracts across multiple sectors, including the cement industry, with values in the range of INR10-25bn (US$134-334m). As such, its building and factories segment won an order from one of the country’s leading cement manufacturers for a 3.5Mta brownfield project in Nimbahera, Rajasthan.
