USA and Puerto Rico Portland and blended cement shipments up 19% in February

Total shipments of Portland and blended cement, including imports,  in the USA and Puerto Rico saw a 19 per cent hike to 6.8Mta in February 2022 when compared with February 2021, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS). Three new state Departments of Transportation in the USA have approved the use of Portland-limestone cement (PLC). The addition of Maryland, Arizona and Vermont means that a total of 44 states now accept PLC, according to the Portland Cement Association (PCA). CalPortland converts Mojave plant to PLC production

CalPortland has announced the conversion of its Mojave cement plant, USA, to ADVANCEMENT™ HS, a blended portland limestone cement.
