Holcim Philippines to delist from Philippine Stock Exchange

Holcim Philippines is voluntarily delisting from the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) after its major shareholder Holderfin BV acquired additional Holcim shares from Sumitomo Osaka Cement. Cement consumption in Spain has edged up 0.7 per cent YoY to 1,348,525t in May 2023, according the country’s cement association, Oficemen. Australia-based First Graphene has commenced trials on graphene-enhanced cement and concrete at Breedon ’s Hope cement plant in the UK. Around 2000t of graphene-enhanced cement will be produced at the plant, using First Graphene’s PureGRAPH product. Heidelberg Materials opens new rail link in France

Heidelberg Materials , a major player in the use of rail freight in France, is further developing its modal shift by activating a new rail line between its Couvrot plant   and its distribution centre in Guerville in Ile-de-France. This new flow began on 1 May 2023 with a rotation of 1220t every week. Over a full year, this will represent 47 trains or 57,340t of cement that will have transited by rail.
