On the auspicious occasion of Haver & Boecker’s 125th anniversary, International Cement Review speaks with Dr Reinhold Festge, the company’s managing partner, on the history of the packaging, automation and materials handling specialist and its future development.
ICR: Can you explain the current structure of Haver & Boecker and the extent of its international reach?
Dr Reinhold Festge (RF): The structure of Haver & Boecker in principle has not changed. The company has two major divisions: the Wire Weaving Division, the oldest part of Haver & Boecker, and the Machinery Division, founded in 1925. The Machinery Division is further divided into two: under the brand name of Haver & Tyler we concentrate all activities in mineral processing. Then, under Haver & Boecker packing technology we concentrate on packing and logistics. All divisions are locally active and we operate subsidiaries all over the world, on every continent.
