Re: Pet Coke

Hi Gulam

You have to aware that R90u should be below 5% with petcoke. And with coal depending on volatility could be ~15%

So coal mill is critical. If it will not be able to deliver - forget about petcoke

Re: Pet Coke

Dear Saddam,

These things are secondary. Foremost one is cost economy. Low TPH of coal is no problem if it is cost effective. In case of india, where fuel is imported coal and rising prices of coal is pressing hard for alternatives and pet coke is becoming viable one, even after less out put of coal and high power consumption.

Re: Pet Coke

If one mill is enough and you do not need the second one then go on and good luck.

Start study the process, sulfatization degree, combustion etc. Your life becomes to be very much saturated with all those nice changes...

You will see

:o)

Re: Pet Coke

You could use an instrument to analyse the temperature of the burning zone and you could adjust your burner accordingly. You as well could use a calculation tool to give you online information about the burning degree.

Instrument: http://www.powitec.de/Downloads/Cement/Powitec_WorldCement_2010_08_SwitchingToSideView.pdf

Movie about the front thermography

Movie about the side thermography (side view installation especially for the combustion of various waste fuels at the main burner)

Example of online-prediction of FCaO

Or drop me a mail a.hanf@powitec.de and I will send you some information.
