Turnover of Les Ciments de Bizerte advanced 2.3 per cent YoY in 3Q15. Although sales volumes in the domestic market fell by 3.7 per cent YoY, revenues rose by 21.4 per cent YoY. The company saw a decline in export revenues on the back of a volatile market in Algeria and a lack of demand in Libya. Clinker output rose by 55,050t or 47.5 per cent when compared to 3Q14.

Ciments du Maroc demolishes Anza plant

Ciments du Maroc, part of Italcementi, is currently demolishing the old Anza cement works near Agadir. The plant was taken out of service more than five years ago, after the commissioning of the Aït Baha works.
