The Bulgarian unit of Greek group Titan, Zlatna Panega Cement, plans to reduce its carbon footprint by replacing the use of fossil fuels with alternative fuels made from waste, utilising additives and investing in renewable energy, the cement plant’s manager, Ioannis Anagnostou, told SeeNews in a recent interview.

Titan has been present in Bulgaria for more than 15 years – it owns the cement plant in Zlatna Panega and is one of the leading manufacturers of high quality cement in the country.  Furthermore, the company operates ready mix units in three major cities planning to enter other locations and is also looking for new gravel and sand quarries.
