Titan America has appealed judge’s ruling that it must abide by a review process that would delay permits for the plant.
The StarNews of Wilmington reported Titan America has appealed the ruling by Superior Court Judge Donald Stephens about the plant it wants to build in Castle Hayne.
Stephens last month agreed with environmentalists and ruled that the plant must abide by a more stringent environmental review process because the project is receiving US$4.5m in local and state incentives.
A company attorney filed the appeal Tuesday in Wake County Superior Court.
