Ukrainian plants of the Eurocement Group produced 2.1Mt of cement in 9M2005, up 11.6 per cent Y/Y. Balcem (Kharkov region, Balakleya) manufactured over 1.6Mt, an increase of 12 per cent Y/Y. The Kramatorsk cement plant Pushka (Donetsk region, Kramatorsk) produced 505,000t, an increase of 11 per cent. The capacity of Balcem and Pushka, consolidated into the company Eurocement Group Ukraine, is around 5Mt. In 2004, they produced 1.8Mt and 600,000t, respectively. Ukraine’s cement output last year stood at 10.7Mt. Forecast for 2005 is 12.8Mt.
The Eurocement Group incorporates 15 cement factories, including the two above in the Ukraine. The Eurocement Group has an aggregate capacity of 33Mt and incorporates Maltsovsky Portlandcement (the Bryansk region), Mikhailovcement (the Ryazan region), Lipetskcement, Savinsky Cement Mill (the Arkhangelsk region), Katavsky Cement (the Chelyabinsk region), Nevyansky Cementnik (the Sverdlovsk region), Kavkazcement (the Karachayevo- Cherkess Republic), Oskolcement (the Belgorod region), Belgorodsky Cement (Belgorod), Pikalevsky Cement (the Leningrad region), Podgorensky Cementnik (the Voronezh region), Ulyanovskcement (the Ulyanovsk region), Zhigulevskiye Stroimaterialy (the Samara region), Balcem (Balakleya, the Kharkov region, Ukraine) and the Pushka Cement Mill of Kramatorsk (the Donetsk region, Ukraine). Company products are supplied to customers through 25 sales branches in 50 Russian regions. The group also incorporates concrete production (Eurobeton), asphalt and minerals, a transportation business, as well as storage and distribution silos.
