Construction works aimed at building the second cement producing plant began in Iran’s Chabahar Free Trade Zone (CFTZ). The plant projected to come on-stream within the next 10 months is slated to produce 500tpd and 1000tpd of cement in the course of its first and second phases, respectively. Over 100 billion rials has been invested in the project. The surplus output from the plant will be exported to the countries in the region in particular, Persian Gulf littoral states, Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan. Chabahar Free Trade Zone is located in the far southeastern Iran on the banks of Oman Sea and to the north of the Iranian port city, Chabahar.
