South Korea’s Hyundai Cement Co said Saturday it was shutting down one of its two main plants until September to ease inventories and save production costs. In a disclosure statement to the Financial Supervisory Service, the cement producer said it was closing down the Dangyang Plant to use up inventories, and plans to renew operation Sept. 22. It said the temporary closure of Danyang plant that takes up about 32 per cent of total production won’t affect sales as it has enough inventory supplies.
