In January, the Bakhchysarai-based Budindustria factory, the largest cement producer in the Crimea (Ukraine) increased cement production by 83 per cent, or 11,070t compared with January 2004, to 24,410t.   According to company data, in January the plant increased clinker production by 74.4 per cent to 13,410t. In 2004, the factory increased cement production by 14.9 per cent or 60,870t compared with 2003, to 469,570t. Budindustria operates two cement kilns with an aggregate installed capacity of 517,000tpa. According to data from the Agency for Development of the Stock Market’s Infrastructure, the Kyiv-based Brinkford company owns 78.32 per cent of the shares in Budindustria.
