Spanish cement maker Cementos Lemona posted a net attributable profit of EUR16.9m  for 2004, a 5.7 per cent YoY decrease, the company said. Gross operating profit decreased 17.5 per cent to EUR27.6m. Turnover dropped slightly by 0.33 per cent to EUR 99.9m.

The company attributed the drop in results to the two-month closures of two of the its plants for improvements, which cost Cementos Lemona EUR 44.8m. The total investments of the company stood at EUR65.5m.   Cement sales stood at EUR69.03m, a 3.2 per cent decrease, while sales of aggregates totalled EUR 6.5m, up seven per cent, and sales of concrete and mortar increased 5.9 per cent.
