The major Nordic construction group NCC has completed its withdrawal from ready-mixed concrete by selling its Danish subsidiary GH Beton A/S for DKr 110m (€15m) to a consortium of three Danish companies, including Randers Cement, the only independent cement importer into Denmark.  The other two buyers, Bach Gruppen, a trading company and Deruda International, a housebuilder, are connected and already own DK Beton, which operates a ready-mixed concrete business on Jutland with five batching plants.  The Zealand based GH Beton has nine batching plants across Denmark with an annual production of 0.2m m∏ and a turnover last year of some €20m.  The deal will make the Viborg-based Bach group the third largest ready-mixed concrete producer in Denmark behind Cementir’s Unicon and RMC.
