Saudi cement producer, Saudi Cement Company (SCC), reported cement sales of 4.6Mt in 2003, up from 4.5Mt in 2002, it was reported on March 18, 2004. SCC exported 502,000t of cement to Bahrain, compared to 406,000t in 2002 while clinker exports to Bahrain stood at 137,000t, up from 94,000t. SCC, established in 1955, is based in Dammam, eastern Saudi Arabia. The company has an authorised capital of 1.02 bln Saudi riyals (US$272m). SCC posted a net profit of 402.5 mln riyals (US$107.3m), compared to 343.5 mln riyals (US$91.6m) in 2002.
