The Marketing Manger of Ghacem, Dr. George Dawson Amoah has said that Ghacem’s 70 per cent market share in the country would not dwindle despite the vigorous marketing strategies of other cement manufacturing and importing companies. Against what had been suggested by some industry analysts, it would rather be motivated by the competition to increase its market share to maintain its position as the market leader. Industry analysts have said that, with the marketing strategies being implemented by cement companies like Wacem, the producer of Diamond cement, the market share of Ghacem would come down drastically. He however told the Business Chronicle that, in order to consolidate and improve on the company’s market share, it had created ten new depot centers in all the regions and additional vehicles had been acquired to cart their products to various points of distribution.
