Combined net profit of the eight cement companies operating in Saudi Arabia stood at 2.5bn Saudi riyals (US$667m) for 2003, up from 2.2bn riyals in 2002. The largest net profit of 500.8m riyals ($133.6m) was reported by Southern Province Cement, followed by Saudi Cement with 402.5m riyals (US$107.3m), Yamama Cement with 386.6m riyals (US$103.1m) and Yanbu Cement with 378m riyals (US$100.8m).  Yanbu Cement reported the largest profit increase of 24.7 per cent YoY, followed by Yamama Cement with 20.7 per cent.
