The Viet Nam Cement Corporation (VNCC) has set a target of putting Tam Diep Cement Factory into operation by the 4th quarter of this year. It will also speed up the construction of Hai Phong Cement Factory, scheduled for completion by 2005. The progress of the two cement projects has slowed down due to revised designs and the increased prices of building materials. Furthermore, the VNCC is set to start seven cement projects this year,. These include projects on the enlargement of Hoang Thach Cement Factory, Binh Phuoc Cement Factory, But Son Cement Factory and Ha Tien 2-2 Cement Factory, and projects for building three clinker grinding stations in Ho Chi Minh City, Long An and Khanh Hoa provinces.
