Cement and clinker production in Himachal is expected to reach 22.37Mt by 2015 after the north Indian state commissions the 3.75Mt JP Himachal Cement plant, according to Minister Krishan Kapoor told local press.
Speaking to local press, Mr Kapoor said ACC had set up two cement plants at Barmana and Bilaspur district with 7.7Mta capacity while an agreement has been signed with JP Cements for the establishment of a second unit at Bagha with a capacity of 3.75Mt in August 2010 and the plant was slated for commissioning in 2015.
