Brazil first-quarter sales rise 13.3%

Preliminary data on the Brazilian cement market shows that for the first quarter of 2012, domestic sales climbed 13.3% YoY to 16.4Mt, according to Sindicato Nacional da Industria do Cimento (SNIC).

Accumulated sales for the 12 month period between April 2011 to March 2012 reached 65.7Mt, representing an increase of 9.6 per cent compared to the same period of the previous year.
