Karnataka Cabinet approves land for cement plant

The Karnataka cabinet has cleared the proposal of JK Cements to acquire additional land for setting up a cement plant.

Economic Research of India states that the  company will acquire 278 acre for their own industrial use at Mudepura in Bagalkot district where it is already investing in a cement plant.

Earlier, the state high level clearance committee had also cleared JK Cement's proposal to set up a unit to produce ordinary Portland cement, Portland Pozzolana cement, and Portland slag cement at Chitapur in Gulbarga district.
