Lafarge Zambia's managing director Folayinka Esan has been flown back to his country of origin, Nigeria, for contravening the Immigration Act, Zambia's Home Affairs Minister Edgar Lungu has said.
Mr Esan, 44, a Nigerian but a holder of a British passport, had his resident permit revoked on Wednesday this week for violating the Immigration and Deportation Act number 18 of 2010.
"Mr Esan had his resident permit revoked and consequently cancelled on Wednesday because his conduct was found to be a danger to the peace and good order of Zambia," the minister said in a statement.
He assured workers at Lafarge that operations would continue normally. (Source: AllAfrica.com)
