South Africa 9M12 sales rise 2.9%

South Africa cement sales for the first nine months of 2012 rose 2.9 per cent to 8.529Mt from 8.290Mt in the same period of 2011, latest data from the Cement & Concrete Institute (C&CI) shows.

The moving annual total also rose 3.9 per cent to 11.473Mt from 11.038Mt in the corresponding period a year a go.

However, 3Q12 sales were down 3.8 per cent to 2.976Mt compared to 3.092Mt in the 3Q11.
