Paraguay’s Industria Nacional de Cemento (INC) announced it will suspend clinker production for 45 days but assured the market it will not reduce supply during the programmed stop.
The shutdown of the clinker line is necessary to change refractories and carry out maintenance on the precalciner as well as repair the roofs in the third and fourth stage of the cyclones.
Meanwhile, proper planning will ensure the provision of cement during the maintenance period. It is reported that INC has a stock of 143,521t of clinker, sufficient for the production of 3.4m bags of cement.
