Coboce’s second line at its Irpa Irpa plant is nearing completion as international experts perform final cold tests. Civil works, electrical and mechanical assembly were completed by Bolivian professionals and at present mechanical, electrical and automation control are being fine-tuned.

Apart from Polysius, WEG, Boldrocchi and Flender, the plant superintendent Javier Flores said that specialists from Siemens (Argentina) were also present, conducting tests on the medium-voltage switchgear.

This month will see the arrival of Polysius process technicians who will start the hot test phase of the new works.

It is expected that once commissioning is completed, the plant’s daily production will triple to 75,000 bags of cement and will be able to deliver maximum output in a relatively short space of time.
