Phoenix Cement selects VAS IT logistics system, Germany

Phoenix Cement has opted to introduce the VAS IT logistics system by Fritz and Maczoil at its cement plant in Westphalia, Germany.

“Until now, we have had to manage the processes manually and on paper,” Kai Wagner, Phoenix plant manager said while explaining the company’s reorientation. “With the aid of the VAS IT logistics system, the processes within the cement works are now to be automated gradually and unmanned loading implemented across the plant.”

The next step will be the integration into a modern ERP system which would replace the existing solution. In addition, the processes of sack handling and material deliveries are to be integrated into the VAS IT logistics system.

“The high flexibility and the possibility of stepwise optimization of our business processes were major criteria for deciding on Fritz & Macziol. In addtion, the VAS IT logistics system has already proven its practicality.”
